Why Prototypes Are Essential in the Development of POS Displays

The development of POS displays begins long before a finished, printed customer sample is produced. A crucial step in this process is prototyping. By creating prototypes and physical mockups, designs can be tested, optimized, and adapted to the requirements of their eventual use at an early stage.

Even during the concept phase, a mock-up enables a realistic assessment of the display’s shape, size, stability, and functionality. This allows important design features to be identified and taken into account before any costs for printing, finishing, or mass production are incurred. At the same time, it becomes clear how the planned product layout will affect the display and which presentation options are feasible.

Prototyping as the foundation for successful POS displays

As part of the development of POS displays, we work with our customers to verify whether the desired product placement functions optimally, whether the load-bearing capacity is sufficient, and how the display will perform in its future retail environment. Adjustments can be made directly to the physical prototype. This allows us to identify potential problems early on and avoid costly corrections later in the project.
This structured development process provides planning certainty, shortens coordination cycles, and ensures that the finished POS display is both visually appealing and functionally effective.

Through our prototype development, we lay the foundation for successful sales displays that not only look good but also meet the requirements of retailers and the specific product presentation.
